Read Jeffrey Eugenides, Fresh Complaint 📚. A very mixed bag; several of these (“Early Music”, “Timeshare”) are character studies rather than full stories. The most recent ones are better. Eugenides is probably a better novelist than a short story writer — though I haven’t yet read any of his novels.
