When I watched Unbreakable back in the primeval 00s, it never occurred to me that it was a superhero origin tale. I saw it as a shaggy dog story whose unrealistic elements — a guy who couldn’t be injured! — were just setup for a neat punchline. Still prefer that version, tbh 🍿🎞
